J'en suis fan depuis 4 ans maintenant, depuis "Where Is The Love" qui a été la chanson qui les a révélé au public, et qui a changé leur vie (si si !). Bref, ce blog leur est dédié, il porte essentiellement sur leurs news comme vous pourrez le constater ! J'ai aussi mis en ligne leurs paroles de leur 4 albums, ainsi que celui de Fergie. Voilààà !

Stacy Ferguson a rejoint les Black Eyed Peas en 2003, remplaçant la chanteuse Kim Hill qui les avait quittés en 2000. Quelques années plus tard, alors qu’elle lance parallèlement à son groupe une carrière solo, Fergie a décidé de remonter le temps à travers sa famille, afin de découvrir qui étaient ses ancêtres. Elle est allée assez loin pour retrouver des traces de sa famille en Irlande, et constater que ses ancêtres étaient... des voleurs de bétail, plus précisément, des voleurs de moutons.
La nouvelle n’entache pas le succès de son "London bridge", premier extrait de "The Dutchess", l’album qui lance sa carrière solo et qui sera diffusé le 19 septembre. Le disque a été produit par will.i.am, son partenaire au sein des Black Eyed Peas, et Polow the Don. A ce sujet, la chanteuse a déclaré qu’il ne s’agissait pas d’un disque du groupe mais d’un album supposé mettre en avant son style personnel d’écriture et de chant avec les éléments musicaux du groupe. Fergie est actuellement en tournée dans le nord de l’Amérique.

Les Red Hot Chili Peppers accusent U2 et les Black Eyed Peas d’être vendus parce qu’ils ont accepté que leurs chansons soient utilisées dans des publicités télévisées.
Le batteur, Chad Smith, a affirmé que le groupe californien ne permettrait jamais que leur musique devienne la trame sonore d’une réclame publicitaire, soutenant qu’il est dangereux de sombrer dans le monde corporatif.
« Je crois que les Black Eyed Peas ont l’air d’une bande d’idiots, c’est dangereux. La chanson de U2 dans la pub d’iPod était bizarre en plus d’être plus longue et différente de la version originale. Je crois que les jeunes, pas de vieux gars comme moi, croient qu’il est normal d’entendre Led Zeppelon dans une pub de jeans. Non! Ce n’est pas normal à mes yeux », a-t-il exprimé à dotmusic.com.

Dans une interview accordée récemment au magazine anglais FemaleFirst, la chanteuse des Black Eyed Peas, Stacy Ferguson, alias "Fergie", a reconnu avoir été accro à la drogue. Elle explique que pour mettre un terme à cette addiction, elle a demandé l'aide de sa mère et a suivi une hypnothérapie. "J'ai dû apprendre à m'aimer moi-même", a-t-elle confié. "Parfois, [la thérapeuthe] plaçait une boîte de mouchoirs en face de moi et je me laissais aller", ajoute l'artiste, précisant qu'il ne s'agit en rien d'un suivi psychiatrique.
La chanteuse prépare actuellement la sortie du premier album de sa carrière solo, "The Dutchess", un disque prévu pour le 19 septembre. Le premier extrait de ce CD, "London bridge", passe en radio. Son collègue au sein du groupe Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am, fait partie des producteurs de l'album, ainsi que Polow the Don, qui a déjà produit une chanson pour les Pussycat Dolls. Récemment, la chanteuse a fait une apparition dans le film "Poseidon", le remake de Wolfgang Petersen. Elle y jouait le rôle de Gloria, chargée d'animer une soirée sur le bateau.

Non contente de s'assurer le top des charts avec son single London Bridge, extrait de son premier album solo The Dutchess, la voix féminine des Black Eyed Peas fait aussi de l'oeil au cinéma. On a notamment pu voir Fergie dans le blockbuster américain Poseidon. La chanteuse parle du film comme " d'une expérience incroyable car tout était si impressionnant". "L'ensemble de la producction était vraiment énorme et gigantesque", a-t-elle ajouté. "Et Wolfgang Peterson était vraiment encourageant. J'ai beaucoup appris sur la façon de se comporter sur un grand plateau de tournage et comment rester concentrée malgré les distractions". Mais la blonde sexy n'a pas l'intention de se limiter à cette expérience: elle vient de révéler qu'elle a été retenue pour un projet de film avec les réalisateurs Quentin Tarantino et Robert Rodriguez, une véritable "dream team", selon elle. London Bridge est N°1!
So what exactly does “London Brigde Go Down” mean?
“There are a couple things that you could relate with that title, but I’m just going to leave it to people’s imagination,” Fergie said of her possibly promiscuous hit single. “I couldn’t have written songs today that I wrote five years ago, because I wasn’t feeling that … it’s just a mixture of emotions on this record.” — Fergie

Apparently music fans have no problem with ambiguity, as “London Bridge” has climbed to #1 on the Hot 100 in just three weeks, the second fastest ascent in Billboard history. (Amusingly enough, it knocked out Nelly Furtado’s not-so-ambiguous “Promiscuous.”)
“It’s funny, because I’m a singer and this single doesn’t have a lot of singing to it,” Fergie said about the song (see “Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie Gets Rough And Regal In First Video From Solo LP”). “It’s more of a chanty type of record, but it just seemed so obvious that it would be the first single, because it was so strong and aggressive. I’m just excited for people who hear the whole record, because there’s going to be a lot of different styles on the record. I have very eclectic taste, just as the Black Eyed Peas do.”
Fergie recorded The Dutchess, due September 19, while touring the world with the Peas over the last year. Will.I.Am executive produced and all the Peas make guest appearances, along with Ludacris, B-Real from Cypress Hill and Rita Marley, Bob Marley’s widow.
“That was quite an honor for me,” Fergie said of the “beautiful reggae song” called “Mary Jane’s Shoes” that she recorded with Marley. “I kind of get to play Bob Marley in that song, which is a beautiful thing.”
Luda appears on a track called “Glamorous,” produced by Polow Da Don (he also helmed “London Bridge” and the Pussycat Dolls’ “Buttons”), while B-Real raps on “Thriller Man,” an homage to Cypress Hill’s “How I Could Just Kill a Man.”
“It’s pretty hot,” B-Real said. “Basically she took the song and switched the story around to suit it to her and put the female touch on it. She did the same chorus, she even did my same rhyme style, but she sung it. It’s hard to describe it, you just got to hear it — she did it justice.”
“I’m going to get no publishing [royalties],” Fergie added with a smile. “I used too many samples! But I love that kind of thing.”
Fergie revealed that she has dreamed of doing a solo album since she was a little girl and although several tracks on The Dutchess were written recently, some date back as far as six years.
“I couldn’t have written songs today that I wrote five years ago, because I wasn’t feeling that, so that’s why I’m really excited about this, because it’s just a mixture of emotions on this record,” she said. “And it’s very autobiographical. All of the love songs are definitely about different boyfriends that I’ve had. I’ve made a personal decision to not mention which ones are about who, out of respect for the people, but there are breakups, there are make-ups, there are dysfunctional relationships. There are also struggles with my substance abuse, a lot of vulnerability which I think people haven’t seen from me in the Black Eyed Peas.”
Fergie is still finalizing the track list, narrowing down 21 songs to 12 or 14, but whichever songs she picks, she is promising variety.
“It’s a very colorful album,” she said. “There’s dub, there’s reggae, there’s stuff like the Temptations, a band that I saw when I was 10 years old in concert. There’s the low rider, oldie style that we revisit that I was really inspired by in high school. There’s that punk-rock aspect — that just really raw rock and roll, get your hair messed up, sweat as much as you want, don’t feel pretty onstage — that aspect. There’s jazzy. We’re just crazy.”
